It is noted that the green portion of the flag was designed to represent the majority Catholic residents of the island, the orange side being the minority Protestant and the white middle part being peace and harmony between them.

Man sagt, dass der grüne Teil die Mehrheit der katholischen Einwohner des Landes repräsentiert, der orange Teil die Minderheit der protestantischen, und die weiße Mitte den Frieden und die Harmonie zwischen beiden.

Oni diras ke la verda parto reprezentas la plimulton da katolikoj en la lando, la oranĝa parto la malplimulton de protestantoj, kaj la blanka centro la pacon kaj harmonion inter ili.

Es notable el hecho que la parte verde de la bandera representa la mayoría católica de los habitantes de la isla, el lado naranjo a la minoría protestante y en la mitad la sección blanca a la paz y armonía entre ellos.

La partie verte du drapeau représente la majorité catholique de l'île, la partie orange représente la minorité protestante tandis que le blanc central représente la paix et l'harmonie entre ces deux communautés.

Da notare che il verde della bandiera rappresenta la maggioranza cattolica, l'arancione la minoranza protestante mentre il bianco indica la volontà che la pace e l'armonia regnino tra le due comunità.

The flag of the Republic is Green White & Orange.Not green white & Gold,Green is for nationalist/republicans-not for any religous group.The white is for peace.The orange is for those followers of the house of orange.The colour is a bit of a giveaway.If the flag had anything to do with religion they would have used religous symbols.If in doubt please refer to the French govt of 1848 ,they gave it to Ireland.
